THE VOYAGE
THE VOYAGE
An endless ocean lies ahead,
pitch black and dark;
Silence of the terror that awaits me
echoes through the hallway of my craft;
sea is still and calm,
unwilling to show its true self,
shadows lie and mirrors betray;
but the voyage will commence
tearing the horizon with unforgiving
might;
voyage into the unknown is what
deters even the fiercest of seafarers;
life has many facets,
some choose to perish in the sea like
me;
but those who conquer the high seas
will be immortalized by the generations
to come
but those who succumb to the ocean’s
might,
will remain unknown like the dust in the
ocean’s floor
untouched by the rays of hope that graze
the ocean surface.
As I stand gazing the moonless night
South wind begins to blow
And I order to unwrap the sail.
Moving forward is my only choice.
